KANSAS CITY, MO. – An infant died as a result of internal injuries. Officials are currently investigating the case as a murder, according to a statement from the Kansas City Police Department.
The officers were called to the 5400 block on Harrison Street just after 6:15 a.m. on March 9. The police were told that a baby was not breathing.
When they arrived, rescue workers said the 4 month old boy showed no obvious external signs of injury.
The emergency services took the boy to the hospital. Medical staff later told police that the baby had died.
Information leaked suggests the child died from internal injuries, although police did not disclose what it is. The doctor’s office condemned death as murder.
