KANSAS CITY, MO. – Mavericks hockey players brought Chik-Fil-A meals to the frontline staff at Centerpoint Medical Center.
Players spent the day on the ice volunteering and serving health care workers. Willie Corrin said those who risk their lives to keep others healthy deserve credit and recognition for what they do.
“We want to give something back to the community, especially our first responders who give vaccinations and the like here,” said Corrin. “It’s great what you do and we’re only here to help you as much as we can.”
Mavericks players will be bringing more meals to the Overland Park Regional Medical Center on Thursday.
